Speaking ahead of City’s next home fixture at King Power Stadium, which comes against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, the 20-year-old discussed the excitement of pitting themselves against the best teams in the country.

The ex-Arsenal youngster also revealed a motivation shared within the group to enter Sunday’s 3pm kick-off in a positive frame of mind and right the wrongs of previous meetings with the reigning WSL champions.

"We’re really looking forward to it,” the Jamaican told CITY Matchday Magazine this week. “Obviously, we played against them (in the Vitality FA Women’s Cup) only a couple of weeks ago, and that was an unfortunate result – losing 7-0 after going down to 10 men early on.

“We started the game off really well and we want to be able to go into this game and carry on the momentum we had at the start of that game. We want to give them a good go and compete with the best in the country.

“We’ve had a lot of time to work hard on the training pitch, as we didn’t have a game last week. We’ve worked hard to get us in the best position and learn from what happened in the last game. Hopefully that doesn’t happen again. We just want to put our best foot forward and carry some momentum.”
