Leicester City’s Premier League fixture with Wolverhampton Wanderers will now be played on Sunday 22 December, following advice from local authorities.
Although initially scheduled to take place on Saturday 21 December, the fixture has been moved to the Sunday due to a clash with a Leicester Tigers home fixture, which has been selected for live broadcast in the UK and therefore cannot be rearranged. The change can now be confirmed following the announcement of Premier League broadcast selections for December.
Given the proximity of the two kick-off times and the large number of supporters expected to be in the city, the Leicester City game will now get underway at 2pm the following day to ensure both events can be safely facilitated.
