The Zambian, who has found the net three times during friendly fixtures this summer, sat down with CITY – the official LCFC programme – this week to look ahead to Sunday's 2022/23 opener against Brentford. The Bees visit King Power Stadium for a 2pm BST kick-off.
Daka is excited by what the new campaign could have in store for himself and his team-mates. The former RB Salzburg forward is now focusing on being consistent in his performances, knowing goals and acclaim will follow.
"It has been a great pre-season for me," he told CITY this week. "I feel like I’ve really put in a lot of work this pre-season and when you look at the previous one, with COVID-19 and things like that, it was really difficult to get started with the team. But I think this time around, it has been really, really great.
I feel I have settled in now, I kind of know how the league is and what to expect and also, I now have a full understanding of how my team-mates play, how they expect me to play and where they want me to be.

"I kind of feel like my confidence is back as well. It’s always good to get goals for your confidence and, looking towards the season, it gives you the direction and you know where you stand.
"For me, it’s about consistency in performances, consistency in scoring goals and helping the team get maximum results and that’s what I’m focusing on. But yes, I feel really good, I feel fit and I feel like I’m ready for the start of the season and I’m ready to go."
