Cain Nets First Wales Women Goal
- Hannah Cain scored her first goal for Wales on Thursday in a 4-1 win over Northern Ireland

While the Foxes enjoy a well-earned break from fixtures, having most recently lifted themselves off the foot of the Barclays Women's Super League after a 2-1 win over Reading, the April international break has been in full swing, with several City players making their mark in the opening games.
On Thursday night, history was made by our No.21 as Cain etched herself among the Wales' goalscorers, after finding the net for the first time in her country's 4-1 win over Northern Ireland.
Half an hour in, and already 2-0 up, Rhiannon Roberts of Liverpool drilled a low cross into the danger zone of the penalty area, where the Leicester striker was waiting to pounce, as she fired low into the net to give her side a commanding lead. She was later substituted to a standing ovation, as fellow Fox Josie Green was introduced in the second half to ensure a Welsh win at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Also featuring in Thursday's fixtures were England Under-23s at the Estádio Municipal da Marinha Grand, where Ruby Mace started and played a full game in a thrilling 3-2 win over Portugal, which saw a dramatic comeback from the Young Lionesses in the final moments of injury time.
Molly Pike and Georgia Eaton-Collins were unused substitutes in the late victory, however, Missy Goodwin was introduced after the hour mark, and certainly made a positive impact on the game. In injury time, Leicester's 20-year-old striker was brought down in the penalty area, allowing the chance for Missy Bo Kearns to send the Portuguese 'keeper the wrong way, and claim the win.
The final City player to feature on the international stage, ahead of Friday afternoon, was Mackenzie Smith. The defender also started and played 90 minutes as England Under-19s scored a last-gasp equaliser to kick off their second round of EURO qualifying with a 1-1 draw with Slovenia.
