Dewsbury-Hall Takes A Trip Down Memory Lane

Growing up in north west Leicestershire, his footballing education commenced at local junior team Shepshed Dynamo FC, who provided the grounding for what was to follow for the homegrown star.
In an exclusive interview at his local club’s home, Dovecote Stadium, the 25-year-old talked through why it still holds a special place in his heart all these years later.
“This is where it all began for me, my hometown club, the first club that I ever played for,” he explained. “It’s quite nice to come back and see how they’re doing and see the stadium and the pitch again.
“I grew up in my family home around a two-minute drive away, so it’s literally on my doorstep. School was about a minute away. It’s quite a small, close-knit place where everything’s close together. I could walk from my house in about five minutes.
“I try and come down here every so often when there’s a game on.”
The Academy graduate signed for the Foxes at the age of eight, progressing through the Club's Academy ranks to represent both the Under-18s and Under-21s sides, before his senior debut came away at Brentford in the Emirates FA Cup in 2020.
Remembering that experience at Griffin Park, the midfielder also reflected on his journey to become a first team regular at the Club he’s supported since he was a boy.
'Where It All Began For Me'

“It’s probably still one of the best days of my life,” Dewsbury-Hall revealed. “I’ll never forget that day. I’ve got the shirt that I was wearing in a frame. It feels like that was the start of my journey. It’s been three-and-a-half years and so much has happened since then.
“It’s gone so quickly, but what a day and one that will be in the memory forever. Anyone will tell you how good of a feeling it is. I was smiling from ear to ear for a while after that. I was just so happy to say that I’d made my Leicester debut. It gave me a lot of motivation after that point.”
