Leicester put six past Birmingham City last weekend in the Adobe Women's FA Cup.

City have started 2024 in positive fashion, winning four out of six games, most recently with a convincing FA Cup win against Birmingham, in which winger Shannon O'Brien scored a brace at Pirelli Stadium.

Prior to this, Leicester picked up their third WSL win of the campaign, beating Everton 1-0 at Walton Hall Park thanks to a stunning second half strike from top goalscorer Janice Cayman.

Leicester City have won all three of their WSL games against newly promoted opposition by an aggregate score of 9-2, but will be without German forward Lena Petermann who is recovering from a hamstring injury.

In FA Cup action against Liverpool.

Bristol City gained promotion to the top flight last season but have failed to win any of their last eight league games (D3 L5) and have now conceded in 23 consecutive matches in the competition, which is the longest run any side has ever suffered.

The Robins have conceded the most amount of goals this season in the WSL (33), and have one win, aiding their six points so far this term - that lone victory coming against West Ham United in November; 18-year-old Brooke Aspin scoring the winner.

Five points adrift at the bottom of the table, Sunday's visitors will be looking for a big win to boost their survival prospects as they progress through the second half of the season.

Lauren Smith has won once in the WSL this term.

Lauren Smith became manager of Bristol City in June 2021 and is adapting to life in the Super League, with an average of 0.46 points per game in her first campaign.

She was named the Championship Manager of the Season for 2022/23 for her efforts in claiming the Barclays Women's Championship title and has lost on the one occasion she has met Willie Kirk on the touchline.

Celebrating a win at Ashton Gate.

The two sides have met once before in the top-flight, that fixture coming on the first day of the season. Leicester ran out 4-2 winners at Ashton Gate, as Aimee Palmer, Petermann and a brace from Jutta Rantala kickstarted the Foxes' campaign.

City will be looking to keep that winning streak going this weekend when the Robins make their first trip to King Power Stadium.
