Ahead of Sunday's battle at King Power Stadium, Kirk shared his latest fitness update with the media at Belvoir Drive and looks forward to the return of two young Lionesses, but stated that winger Missy Goodwin has picked up an illness during this week's build-up.
"Young Denny [Draper] and Simone [Sherwood] are back after playing for England Under-17s so they will be competing for a space," the Manager explained during Thursday's press conference. Missy [Goodwin] has been ill, so she's been doing some reduced work but we'll see how she's doing as we approach matchday."
Foxes Progress In Women's FA Cup
The action from Pirelli Stadium as LCFC Women beat Birmingham City to reach the quarter-finals of the Adobe Women's FA Cup.
German forward Lena Petermann, who has scored five goals in all competitions this season, is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, and the former Everton manager confirmed she remains absent while another player, not named, was withdrawn early from Thursday's training session.
"Lena [Petermann] is still out and one player left the pitch during training today, but we'll be keeping that close to our chest, as there's as much chance of her being back on the grass tomorrow."
