‘We’re Going To Give Everything’ – Buonanotte On Everton Test

Facundo Buonanotte has revealed that he has settled in well at Leicester City and is looking forward to contributing further as the season progresses.

Making his Foxes debut, earning a first start and scoring his maiden goal were all key milestones for the 19-year-old to reach in a short space of time, expressing his ambitions to continue having an impact in forward areas when given the opportunity.

That could come this Saturday when Everton visit King Power Stadium, as Leicester, back on home soil, look to build on the point gained at Crystal Palace last weekend.

“On a personal level, I feel very happy off the field as well as on,” the Argentine commented earlier this week. “Everything is great here and I feel like the settling in period has gone really well thanks to the staff, my team-mates and everyone who works here. I think that process has been made easier by those people.

“I think as an individual, you know what to do in terms of working and practicing hard every single day, giving absolutely everything in training. If you’re doing that, things will come right on matchdays.

“And that’s the message from the Manager, to also keep doing what I was doing at Brighton in the last few seasons. I was really keen to get my first goal for the Club and it came at home. To do it in front of our own fans made it a special moment. It was fantastic to get that first opportunity. It’s come early in my career here, which is great.

“The last game (vs. Palace) is probably the best that we’ve played. I think everyone played really well. We were away from home and we deserved more, we deserved to win that game. We dominated play.”

The Toffees are without a league win so far this term and Buonanotte knows the significance of trying to use home advantage to overcome Sean Dyche’s side and the challenges they will pose, while also bringing the confidence from recent performances.

I’ve got faith in everyone within the team, all the lads, that we’re all going to give everything that we’ve got.

“It’s very important for us,” the Brighton & Hove Albion loanee explained. “It’s a key match, a key fixture. Everyone knows that Everton are a good side, a strong outfit, tough, and I think they’ll give us a hard time. They are particularly good on the counter attack and they always carry with them an aerial threat too.

“They’ll be wanting to hurt us but we’re aware of where they want to hurt us and we’ll be trying to exploit their weaknesses as well so we can cause them problems when we’re going forward.

“I’ve got faith in everyone within the team, all the lads, that we’re all going to give everything that we’ve got, to enable us to get those three points and then celebrate in front of our own fans.

“It’s really key for us to be playing at home with our supporters. I think it gives us a real plus and they’ll be wanting to give us that extra push so we can work along with them.”
