Disappointed But A Great Performance, Says Thibaud

After a tight encounter at King Power Stadium, Thibaud shared her thoughts on an agonisingly close game against the Gunners which could've resulted in at least a point for the hosts.

Proud of her team-mates' attitude and performance, the French defender is confident that points and wins will come in the near future, with the signs of a good start to the campaign in full flow.

"I think as a team we are a little disappointed about the result because we put in a great performance," Thibaud announced. "We defended well together and unfortunately we made a mistake and conceded a goal.

"We showed a good image of the team and we've shown to the league that we have another face this year and hopefully we'll have some positive results soon.

"This game will be an example game for the following ones. We played well, were together and compact. This can be useful for us afterwards going into the next game and will bring us confidence. 

"We want to go and get a good result in the cup (against Bristol City) and then head back to the league."

Starting and playing the full game in both WSL fixtures so far this term, the No.17 is happy to have the trust of new Manager Amandine Miquel and relishes having the game time and opportunity to prove her worth for the Foxes.

Thibaud added: "I had the chance to start the last two games and for me it's a good opportunity which I always try to give my best in. Today we didn't get the result but hopefully next time we will. 

"For me, it's important to get minutes and keep playing and I'm happy with that and I hope we can keep going.

"We love to play here (at King Power Stadium) and we are really lucky to play here. The grass is really nice, the fans are here with us so we're happy to play in front of our fans again and hopefully they'll be here next game to keep pushing us on."
