Maguire Earns Maiden England Call-Up

The 24-year-old centre back has been in stellar form for the Foxes since joining the Club earlier this summer, earning plaudits from across the spectrum of opinion this month.
Despite an appearance for the England Under-21s in 2012, a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s squad is recognition for years of perseverance from the Sheffield-born defender.
Taggart Analyses Maguire Impact
LCFC TV's Gerry Taggart spoke about the impact Harry Maguire has made at the Club on this week's Review Show.
After making his Foxes debut during the Premier League's curtain-raiser at Arsenal, Maguire has since impressed during 2-0 and 4-1 victories over Brighton & Hove Albion and Sheffield United respectfully.
It caps an emotional week for Maguire after he received a heartfelt reception from his former supporters at Bramall Lane, where he started his career, in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening.

Foxes manager Craig Shakespeare said: “It is the recognition he deserves. For us as a Football Club, it shows how strong we were on the recruitment.
“For him personally, I am very, very pleased. He has impressed everybody with his ability, of course, but also his character. We are all delighted for him at the Football Club.”
