The Foxes, who enter the competition alongside another 23 sides from the Premier League and the Sky Bet Championship, will face either the Dragons or the Exiles on Saturday 5 January, 2019 unless otherwise agreed.
Last season, City defeated Fleetwood Town, Peterborough United and Sheffield United before exiting the competition in extra-time against eventual winners Chelsea.
National League side Wrexham drew 0-0 with League Two outfit Newport County on Saturday, and a replay between the two Welsh clubs is due to be played on Tuesday 11 December.
A confirmed date and time for the Third Round tie, as well as ticket sales arrangements, will be confirmed in due course.
