Beaglehole: Two Games In Three Days Took Its Toll
- Leicester City's Development Squad were held to a 1-1 draw by Exeter City on Wednesday

- Coach Steve Beaglehole was disappointed with the result, but not his side's application
The Foxes fell behind to a Ben Seymour penalty in the 71st minute, but Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall levelled the scoreline with seven minutes still to play at Holmes Park.
As a result, City remain second in Group D with four points to their name ahead of Monday’s trip to fourth-placed Norwich City (7pm GMT kick-of).
Despite the frustration of missing out on victory, Beaglehole pointed to the fact that Leicester’s youngsters are now unbeaten in seven games in all competitions.

“Tonight, I thought we were very poor, but these are great learning games for them because every game is different,” he told LCFC TV at full-time.
“That’s a different game to what we usually experience in the Premier League 2. They were a side that’s a lower league side but there’s some good players there.
“We never really got going, we didn’t press like we normally do, we didn’t get possession of the ball… the one thing I want to say is that we kept going and kept going.
“The run that we’ve had has been fantastic, we still didn’t get beat and there were a lot of tired legs out there because we played on Monday night, which took a lot out of the lads.

“Nearly all of them that played the other night played tonight but that’s what they’re going to have to do if they’re going to play competitively.
“That’s what it is like so that was a positive in terms of it being another good learning experience for them.
“I thought the fact that we clawed our way back into it by hook or by crook, and didn’t lose the game, was a fantastic effort.”
