The Premier League opened their brand-new offices in Beijing last week and on scene to represent Leicester City in the Community was Community Development Manager, Sarah Jones.
- Leicester City in the Community were represented at the opening of new Premier League offices in China
- Community Development Manager Sarah Jones was on hand to help deliver a grassroots coach development course
- She was there alongside coaches from several other Premier League clubs as well as PL legends
To mark the occasion, the Premier League invited Sarah, as well as coaches from Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers, to lead a four-day grassroots coach development course, covering the theory and practical training needed to equip local coaches with the confidence and skills to deliver football sessions in their provinces.
Speaking of the event, Sarah, who has been with Leicester City in the Community for around six years, said: “Being part of the Premier Skills delivery team in Beijing was an incredible experience and I was proud to represent Leicester City in the Community and to share our culture and ethos of creating a sense of belonging that there is a place for everyone at Leicester City in the Community.
“To do so alongside the coaches that we were training on Premier Skills was an honour. I have been able to share my coaching and community experience, but also learn from other fantastic people - the rest of the delivery team and the cohort of Chinese coaches.
“It was a truly wonderful experience - I feel lucky to have been part of it, especially as it was my first time is Asia so the whole trip was really special.”
